Project Overview

This project is located in Taibao City, Taiwan, China, and was completed in 2025. With a total covered area of approximately 882 square meters, the tensile membrane canopy is designed to provide sun and rain protection for playground amusement facilities. The structure adopts a curved steel frame tensile membrane system. All steel components are treated with epoxy zinc-rich primer and white topcoat for enhanced corrosion resistance. The roof uses 1100 g/m² white PVDF membrane fabric with B1 fire rating, meeting safety requirements for semi-permanent structures and public spaces.

Challenge - Solution

The client required a membrane canopy for amusement facilities that delivers effective weather protection while maintaining a simple, modern appearance and controlled construction cost. The structure also needed to integrate seamlessly with the existing steel framework of the playground equipment. Based on these requirements, our design team developed a standard curved steel frame tensile membrane solution.
