Project Overview
This project is located in Jinwan District, Zhuhai City, China, and was successfully completed in May 2021. It is a commercial tensile membrane roof structure designed for long-term public and business use.
The overall canopy measures approximately 20 m × 14 m, with a central height of 8 m, and a total steel consumption of around 7 tons, ensuring structural stability and durability.
The steel structure is protected with an epoxy zinc-rich primer and white topcoat system, providing excellent corrosion resistance and long-term performance.
The roof is covered with 1100 g/m² white PVDF architectural membrane, featuring B1 fire-retardant rating, fully compliant with safety standards for commercial and public buildings.

Challenge - Solution
Located within a commercial park, the canopy was designed to cover a themed restaurant space. The client required:
Sufficient interior clearance to accommodate dining and circulation areas
Reliable sunshade and rain protection
A distinctive and artistic architectural form to enhance the commercial identity
Based on the site conditions and functional requirements, our engineering team developed a wave-shaped tensile membrane structure.
This solution combines a lightweight steel framework with flowing membrane lines, delivering both functional protection and strong visual impact, while significantly enhancing the overall spatial identity of the restaurant area.
Installation - Support
The project was executed by our professional installation team using an integrated lifting installation method.
Steel structure assembly, membrane pre-tensioning, and shape adjustment were completed at ground level to ensure uniform stress distribution and smooth membrane surfaces.
The entire structure was then lifted and installed using dual cranes for synchronized hoisting, allowing for precise positioning and efficient installation.
The project was completed on schedule, with the final result fully meeting the design intent and client expectations.
