Project Overview
This project is located in Huizhou, China, and was completed in 2020. With a total covered area of approximately 390 m², it serves as a tensile membrane canopy for electric vehicle charging stations, providing effective sun shading and rain protection. The structure adopts a tie-rod cantilever system with I-beam steel supports. All steel components are treated with epoxy zinc-rich primer and white topcoat for corrosion resistance. The roof is covered with 1100 g/m² white PVDF membrane, achieving B1 fire resistance and meeting safety standards for semi-permanent public structures.
Challenge and Solution
The client required a modern, cost-effective membrane canopy solution for EV charging stations. Based on functional needs and budget considerations, a tie-rod tensile membrane design was proposed, featuring a clean appearance, stable structure, and high durability, fully meeting project requirements.
Installation
and Support
Installation was carried out by our professional on-site team using a segmented assembly process. The steel framework was installed first, followed by precise membrane tensioning to ensure structural alignment and uniform stress distribution. The project was completed efficiently and on schedule.
Application
This membrane carport solution is ideal for parking lots, EV charging stations, and other outdoor parking facilities, offering a lightweight, durable, and visually appealing shading system.
