Project Overview

This tensile membrane canopy project is located in Zhuhai, China, and was completed in 2024. With a total covered area of approximately 483 m², the structure is designed to provide sunshade and rain protection for a swimming training pool. The canopy adopts an arched rod-supported tensile membrane system with a steel structural framework. All steel components are treated with an epoxy zinc-rich primer and white topcoat for corrosion resistance. The roof is clad with 1100 g/m² white PVDF architectural membrane with B1 fire rating, meeting safety standards for semi-permanent buildings and public facilities.

Challenge - Solution

The client required a tensile membrane canopy for the swimming training pool to deliver effective sun and rain protection while maintaining a simple and modern architectural appearance. Based on these requirements, our designers proposed a conventional arched rod-supported steel frame tensile membrane solution. This design is economical, practical, and visually clean, fully meeting functional needs and budget considerations.

Installation - Support

Installation was carried out by our professional installation team using a segmented assembly method. Steel trusses were lifted into place with crane assistance to ensure accurate positioning and uniform membrane tension.
