Project Overview
This tensile membrane carport project is located in Huangpu District, Guangzhou, China, and was completed in 2023. With a total coverage area of approximately 1,600 m², it serves multiple parking areas within an industrial park, providing effective sunshade and rain protection. The structure adopts an I-beam steel frame system treated with epoxy zinc-rich primer and white topcoat for enhanced corrosion resistance. The roofing is made of 1100 g/m² white PVDF architectural membrane with B1 fire rating, meeting safety standards for semi-permanent buildings and public spaces.
Challenge and Solution
The client required membrane canopies for several parking zones to protect vehicles from intense sunlight, rain, and high summer temperatures, with strong heat insulation and UV resistance. A standard 7-shaped I-beam tensile membrane carport solution was selected, featuring a simple appearance, stable structure, cost efficiency, and long-term durability.
Installation
and Support
Installation was carried out by our professional team using a segmented installation method. Steel frames were installed first, followed by PVDF membrane tensioning, ensuring uniform membrane stress and precise alignment. The project was completed efficiently as scheduled, fully meeting functional and design requirements.
Application
This tensile membrane carport solution is ideal for industrial parks, commercial parking lots, and public parking areas, offering a lightweight, durable, and visually appealing shading system.
