Project Overview
This project is located in People’s Park, Dongguan City, China, and was completed in December 2024. It is a public stage tensile membrane roof project. The canopy measures approximately 28 m × 10 m, with a central height of about 4 m, and a total steel consumption of around 4 tons. The overall construction period was approximately 25 days.
The main steel structure is treated with an epoxy zinc-rich primer and white topcoat, providing enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. The roof is covered with 1100 g/㎡ white PVDF architectural membrane, featuring B1 fire-retardant performance, fully complying with safety standards for public and municipal buildings.

Challenge - Solution
Located in a park plaza stage area, the client required a canopy that provides sunshade and rain protection while maintaining a natural and modern aesthetic for public performances and activities.
Based on the site conditions and functional requirements, we designed a curved double-peak tensile membrane structure. This solution offers a lightweight and dynamic appearance while effectively fulfilling functional needs and enhancing the overall visual impact and identity of the stage space.
Installation - Support
The project was entirely installed by our professional installation team. Considering the high pedestrian traffic in the park, the construction area was properly enclosed to ensure public safety. Key installation works included steel truss lifting, precise control of structural inclination angles, and accurate fixation of soft-edge membrane cables, ensuring a smooth membrane surface and uniform stress distribution while protecting the existing pavement. The project was completed on schedule and met all design and performance expectations.
