Project Overview
This project is a school sports field grandstand tensile membrane canopy located in Guangzhou, China. It was completed in March 2019 with a total construction period of approximately 18 days. The canopy covers an area of about 460 m², with overall dimensions of 29 m × 16 m.
The structure adopts a steel framework system with a total steel consumption of approximately 14 tons. All steel components are treated with epoxy zinc-rich primer and white topcoat, ensuring excellent durability and corrosion resistance.
The roof is covered with 1100 g/m² white PVDF architectural membrane, featuring B1 fire-retardant performance, fully compliant with safety standards for public and educational facilities.
Installation
and Support
The project was executed by our professional installation team. Based on site conditions and structural characteristics, an integrated lifting installation method was adopted. The steel structure and membrane were pre-assembled and tensioned on the ground to ensure uniform stress distribution and a smooth membrane surface, then precisely lifted into position using dual cranes, ensuring efficient and accurate installation.
Application
Grandstand tensile membrane canopies are characterized by lightweight structure, modern aesthetics, short construction cycles, and strong spatial adaptability. They are widely applied in school grandstands, performance stages, parks, cultural venues, and various public activity spaces.
