Project Overview
Project Overview
Project Location: Guangzhou International Air Cargo Terminal
Coverage Area: 463 square meters
Building Type: Large-Span Tensile Membrane Parking Shed
Project Background: As a high-turnover international aviation logistics hub, the site urgently required an expanded sheltered space capable of accommodating large freight trucks for parking and dispatching. The project presented extremely stringent requirements for safety, construction efficiency, and space utilization.

Challenge - Solution
Challenge 1: Stringent Load Requirements & Demand for Large-Span Column-Free Space
The site demanded an obstruction-free interior to facilitate the smooth entry and exit of large freight vehicles. Simultaneously, due to local climate factors, the structure had to comply with exceptionally high safety standards for wind and snow load resistance.
Jutent Solution: We utilized a combination of high-strength structural steel and premium architectural membranes, engineering a high wind-and-snow-resistant structural system through precise form-finding and mechanical calculations. After a thorough analysis of the site’s logistical flow, we innovatively optimized the overall stress model by purposefully adding structural columns to the rear row of the parking shed. This design perfectly adapted to the boundary limits without interfering with vehicle movement, while multiplying the overall structural stability of this 463㎡ large-span canopy.
Challenge 2: Extremely Tight Schedule & Complex Concurrent Construction Conditions
The project demanded delivery within an exceptionally short timeframe. More critically, the foundation construction of the tensile membrane parking shed had to proceed simultaneously with a concrete retaining wall project managed by another contractor.
Jutent Solution: We implemented full-process interface coordination management. Our engineering team proactively front-loaded the coordination process, establishing a dynamic communication mechanism with the retaining wall contractor. By precisely delineating construction interfaces and working windows, we completely eliminated on-site scheduling conflicts.
Installation - Support
Throughout the installation phase, Jutent demonstrated outstanding technical management and on-site execution:
Modular Prefabrication & Assembly: To adapt to the restricted on-site working area, we adopted a strategy of “factory prefabrication + on-site modular assembly.” This significantly minimized on-site welding and cutting operations.
Efficient Delivery: Backed by meticulous construction organization and on-site support from our professional technical team, we not only successfully overcame the complex environment of “building the wall and erecting the canopy simultaneously,” but ultimately completed the tensioning, anchoring, and delivery of all membrane materials 5 days ahead of schedule. The completed structure features smooth tension curves and maximized space utilization, winning high praise from the client.
